Message	...you've got your VC's wired together in series, halving your current draw as compared to the impedance of just one VC by itself. If your amp is rated to push the lower resultant impedance, then wire the VC's in parallel. This will double the current draw from the amp, giving roughly a 3dB increase in output, all else being equal.
